We are all aware of standards and all know that complying by these we are ensuring that all browsers can interpritate the web much easier but, in the corporate world, who gives a shit. Lets face it "Perception is reality" MySpace is shite and should die BUT.. on the other hand, they're doing the right thing, earning money.

As clearly stated above in a previous comment, why the hell should they change it? Afterall, they are making money.

While we are moaning, complaining, shouting or ranting about MySpace, its us looking bad as we are earning £0.00.

In the corporate world, the end users see MySpace working fine and while the system may break tomorrow, it's still working now. Pointless complaining as we would loose although, if one of us decided to build a new system which flawed MySpace... Maybe then, MySpace will die ;)

You know what.. I cannot believe those good-for-nothing designers are making as much as they are for the complete crap they made.

I haven't been doing webdesign for long.. but I know how to use CSS to position things.. I stopped using tables when I began to learn CSS.

It took twenty minutes to forget about tables and fall in love with CSS.

Ban MySpace.

I agree, web standards are very important. I don't know if I am surprised or just in disgust of the coding of web giant, MySpace. The W3C aught to give MySpace a piece of their mind... I make many layouts for those who can care less if the MySpace code has a ton of flaws. Has anyone solved the puzzle known as MySpace tables? I always gave a random guess at which table table combination was which... MySpace was really dumb for doing that.

Dude, thank you!!!
Someone that finally understands.
If you're going to set a default page, why make it so hideous and hard to control??
Thanks man. ^.^
Gives 2 Kudos

Where are the MySpace killers? I'd like to see a web 2.0 site with some AJAX and such for a much smother expereince. MySpace servers have so many useless page views. If they used some simple AJAX they could cut page views in half and reduce thier server load significantly. Oh well. Its kinda like telling Bill Gates that Windows is broken, he won't listen because a billion people are using his software. Same with MySpace, until they start losing money they'll have no incentive to change.

Yes. I couldn't agree more. I thought that I was one only person in the world who still cared about web standards.

I miss MySpace would have a piece of MyBrain.
